You’ve made it to the heart of the Emerald City.

We are at the Seattle Center Armory: 305 Harrison St, Seattle, WA (tap for google maps) . Once you’re there, the Armory building is behind the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden:

We are on the third floor, above the food court. If you’re at the food court, find the Handmade Seattle banner near the bubble tea shop.

Saturday Schedule

  • 9:00am-9:45am: Doors open at the Seattle Center Armory Lofts. No refreshments this year, so we encourage you to have breakfast beforehand.

  • 9:45am-10:00am: Opening notes. Last chance for people to settle in.

  • 10:00am-11:20am: First two speakers.

  • 15 minute break.: RESTROOMS are directly below us. Climb down the stairs or use the elevator and you’ll see signs near the bubble tea shop.

  • 11:35am-12:55pm.: Last two speakers.

  • 12:55-2:30pm: Phew! Now it’s lunch and plenty of breathing time. As you probably guessed we have a large food court (with bubble tea!), but you’re free to explore the greater Seattle Center.

  • 2:30-6:00pm: Open shows. Meaning showcases, show-and-tells, and casual meeting spaces back at the lofts. This is your chance to make friends, learn something new, and try out more than a dozen Handmade projects.

Unofficial Meetups for Days

The Handmade community put up a growing spreadsheet of neat stuff people can do together. You can access it here. Handmade Seattle does not sponsor or monitor these events.

As your host, I’ve decided not to create small meetups myself, since that can come off as unduly exclusionary. In some future, I hope to finance an open gathering besides the conference.

Live-streaming the event is likely to happen, thanks to Neil Blakey-Milner, although we don’t provide full guarantees. Follow here on Twitch and let’s hope for the best.
